I also got a response from a scammer last night. Different strategy and name, but definitely fishy.

I wish this column were around 40 years ago, when I first started taking harp lessons! I remember working on Boschsa etudes. This is one of the best explanations of “why” my wonderful teachers had me working on those etudes!

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I was wondering why that name sounded vaguely familiar!

The name also does not match with the name in the aol email address from which it was sent, leading me to think that the email address was hijacked as well.

Thank you so much! I already have started using Dropbox for lesson plans and other documents. Good to know about Forescore, and the big picture of the whole process using Dropbox or iTunes.

    Hi Tony and Barbara,

I’m thinking about taking the iPad plunge soon.

I love my Blevins Lyra. It’s very well-made and has good tone for its size.

Bug repellent (plastic loops that you can attach to clothes or music stand for outdoor gigs, and a roll of gaffers tape.

I also add a doorstop in multiple sizes for different doors. I have a nifty pink one that’s shaped like an apostrophe that I picked up at a hardware store. Before that I carried three different sized doorstops, for holding doors open while moving my harp.

I’m 4’11 and I have played harps of all sizes, including a Lyon & Healy 23 in college, and a Salvi Electra during my teenage years. It never occurred to me that I might need a smaller harp because of my size!

But now that I’m older, I don’t see myself lugging around such heavy harps! I have an L&H 85 P, as well as a couple of lever harps. I’ve also just ordered a carbon fiber harp to play on my boat during my commercial fishing seasons.

With all the different harps I’ve played, I always seemed to adapt with my small hands, short arms, and legs. I had great teachers, which I think helped quite a bit.

I love my 85P, because it fits in my 1996 Rav4. With a cart, I can load it and unload it without help. My small feet are also happy with the closer together pedals.

I’ve also played an old L&H 12. Pretty neat little harp!

These posts are very helpful! I’ve just ordered an Infinity for use in my classroom in California during the school year, and to use with my 26-foot commercial fishing boat during my summers in Southeast Alaska. It should arrive later in April. I also have travelled with a 22-string Lyra, but I really needed something with more range. My home harp is an L&H 85P.

Does anyone here have experience with flying with this harp? I am wondering how to pack it, while flying with Alaska Airlines. I already know the drill with float planes.

I really looking forward to the addition of this harp to my fleet! Thanks again for all the helpful posts!

I’m on the verge of ordering the Infinity as a travel harp for my fishing boat and my classroom. I would also like to hear more from anyone who has one. I also play an L&H 85P, a Blevins Lyra 22, and an Aoyama 140.
