Todayโs tool
Sharing your music with confidence
Assignment: Practice your complete performance ritual from entering the room to taking the final bow.
The act of sharing your music with others begins before you play a note and continues after the last note rings. Today, practice your complete performance ritual. Walk purposefully to your harp as if you own the stage (even if itโs your living room). Sit with deliberate composure, adjusting your bench and positioning your feet with calm confidence. Make eye contact with your imaginary audienceโacknowledge them with a brief smile or nod. Take a few deep breaths, place your hands on the strings, and begin. After the final note, muffle or wait for the harp to stop ringing before moving. Stand with poise, acknowledge the audience again, perhaps with a bow, and exit with the same confidence you entered with.
