We'll send your recipient an email on this date letting them know they've received a gift subscription. Their subscription will be activated within seven days.

Questions about gift subscriptions

When will my recipient's subscription start?

We activate gift subscriptions within seven days of the notification date you choose. If you select "send immediately," expect activation within seven days of your purchase.

What does my recipient receive?

Your recipient will receive an email on the notification date letting them know about their gift. We'll create a Harp Column account for them (or update their existing one) and grant them a full year of access.

What if my recipient is already a subscriber?

No problem at all — we'll simply extend their current subscription by one full year from their existing expiration date.

Will the subscription auto-renew?

No. Gift subscriptions do not auto-renew. At the end of the year, your recipient can choose to continue their subscription on their own.

Is Print & Digital available outside the U.S.?

Print delivery is available in the U.S. only. For recipients outside the U.S., please select Digital Only — full digital access is available worldwide at the same price.
