ParticipantThank you so much! Yes, that completely makes sense, and I have at least a couple of my own websites where I post a lot of photos.
I didn’t find the “Edit HTML” box, until I switched to the Firefox browser. That box doesn’t appear in the Safari browser.
So this was very helpful.
Thanks again,
Tonie

ParticipantCongratulations on your new addition!
I just got a “natural” color version of this same harp from L&H’s pre-owned site. It’s a 2007 model. I really love it! The ebony harp is very nice, too. I was also really happy with the service from L&H. I also like the fact that it’s a pedal harp that I can fit into my older Rav4.
Have fun with this!

PS By any chance, can you tell me how you posted your photos on this forum? I have not yet figured out how to do that.

ParticipantI just had Robert Hohlbauch work on one of my Aoyama lever harps (a 140D). He knows the Aoyamas very well, and does great work. I know that works on all harps. He is also very reasonable, cost-wise. For a complete re-stringing, and some minor adjustment of sharping levers, I paid $48.50 (not including the price of the strings). He charges $30 per hour for a general checkup, and $36.00 for restringing this type of harp.

I was very pleased.

ParticipantDavid,
Thank you so much for continuing to do your Harpywood presentations. I just attended your presentation in San José last weekend (well worth my drive from Santa Cruz), and I join everyone else in saying that I absolutely loved it! I viewed it from not just from a harpist’s perspective, but also from an education and instructional designer’s perspective, and I just can’t say enough good things about it.
Next time I go to the movies, it will be with a whole new set of ears.

ParticipantAbout 25 years ago, I studied harp with Joy Hujsak at UC San Diego, while minoring in music there. She was a really good match for me. I would check with each campus, to see who’s teaching now.
