ParticipantBonjour,
Yes, we know that about Mme Marie Pierre Jamet, but interesting enough is that Mme Fontan at her stage of life ( 80’s!) is still playing in public, controlling her ‘track’…what I need your help is to know ‘when’ will be best for people to attend, what week of the year is your suggestion? that it does not get on the way to other events, and that

ParticipantOn the same theme… do you finger or gliss the passage in the Iterlude of Debussy trio sonata… i have seen people doing it differently… personally i finger…it gives me better control of the tempo and better for the flutist and violist entries.

ParticipantThat E is a little awkward – but I can’t say its a problem for me. I do have small hands and a concert grand though.
Different harps do have different string lengths, and some seem to get harmonics out easier than others. The only thing I can think of to suggest is that you push the harp forward a little with your knee, as sometimes

ParticipantI just found this on YouTube.
Its an interview with Enya and then she gives a live performance of, Its in the Rain on some British talk show. However, throughout the song the cameras fix on the harp player quite a bit. I love the hosts comment at the end, Yes, so beautiful, so haunting. And amazing harp playing with 8 heals on. The co-host says, Yes, look at that, I was just saying it should be some type of sport Ug, and I thought wearing a suit was a pain!
But hey, its a great song and nice to watch the harp grab almost as much face-time as Enya. (Okay, not quite, but more than usual Id imagine!)

ParticipantBeing a competiton… I would go for fingering, if it will not cause technical problems, which will then make it look worse… it might be the right edje over the others maybe, however musicality is a bit more major

ParticipantEveryone can get their own copy of Storybook Love at http://www.musicnotes.com. This link should take you straight to it http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/scorch.asp?ppn=SC0031755
It costs $4.95 but is instantly available for download. It’s written for piano and not terribly exciting at that. But still, it is available.
