Update: I’m choosing to finance the Venus Seraphim instead. Especially when it cost $9,950 and I have the $950 to put down towards that kind of harp. I’ll give myself time to think about this. When I’m certain that this is the harp I want, I’ll get a hold of Wally and talk to him about building for me the Venus Seraphim in a natural finish. I want a Venus harp and I’m going to get a one and own one! They are awesome!

I can only afford financing a used $10,000 Venus Harp such as the Encore, the Classic, or the Traditional. If I go higher and try to finance a $20,000, then I’ll end up paying too much and I can’t afford to pay too much on monthly payments. I’d rather make the $150-$120 monthly payments on a Venus Harp than make $200-$300 monthly payments on them. I’m looking into Harps Unlimited International as I speak but I need more of where to look to afford financing a $10,000 Venus Harp through Allegro Acceptance. Does anyone know where else I can go to finance a $10,000 Venus Harp?

If you ask me, I prefer to play before a small group of people who know better than to mess around with my harp. I, too would get very upset and riled if someone comes along and starts screwing around with my harp with or without my permission. Just like some of you, I never allow people to play with my baby no matter what. They can touch it a small bit, but they cannot play my harp no matter what.

Whew! Glad they’re all right. I hope the harps are, too.

Oh wow. That reminds me of the time I used to rent a Troubadour harp from a high school. I used to keep the harp in my bedroom where I covered it up for the night. One time, during the first days of having that harp, I woke up in the morning to uncover the harp only to find a broken string plaguing the harp. It must have broke in the middle of the night when I was sleeping and I didn’t hear a thing. Must have been a heavy sleeper back then. Otherwise, I would’ve woken up to the sound of the string breaking off.

I talk to my harp, too. Even apologizing when I accidentally bump something into him like the music stand for instance. Always we should be extra careful when we handle our big musical babies, especially yours.

I have. I kissed my Venus harp Gilligan a few times everyday whether I kiss him good night, good morning, or I just kiss him because I love him. I also hug him, too. I really love my harp. 🙂

Simple: Peaceful Moments by Margaret Walker. A beautiful, fun piece I can play a lot whenever I want.

Just created a harp blog about me and Gilligan and my efforts to buy and restore this Venus Classic Harp.

Yes, I have. In fact many harps Venus Harps sells I’ve seen costs under $16,000 including the Venus Encore. That instrument have kept me drooling to want one for a long time for it reminded me of the Lyon & Healy style 15 harps that are almost made in the same format as the Encore. I would rather buy a brand new Encore than go rent an old beat-up harp that needs fixin’ to be honest with you. It’ll indeed be a delight to invest in buying a brand new harp rather than a used one. That way I will never have to waste money fixing and adding on to the harp while I can just enjoy the Encore harp as it is– with a crown on top.

You’re right. I’ll leave him alone as he is until I can afford to either buy him or go out and buy a harp of my own. Thanks for your imput guys.
