Yeah….Saul…..sorry. I am on pain meds from yesterday’s oral surgery. My bad.

Wait….wait…..wait…..most of those retirement centers are very serious money-making corporations. Most can WELL afford to pay for the entertainment.

The first time I moved my pedal harp I had my husband just walk alongside of me. I didn’t want him to do anything…..not hold the door, not open the car….nothing. I just wanted him there as a spotter incase. Everything went fine, and from that time on I move it alone.

I have never heard a Chicago….but the L&H GP extended I heard live sounded absolutely wonderful to me. I heard it in a concert hall with flute and piano. It was the Mozart flute/harp concerto with a grand piano playing the orchestra part, and truly it sounded just wonderful.

You should go to Chicago if you can and try the harps, and then pick one that sounds good to you.

OMG….I love this. It’s something that is best done on the harp too — and what everyone who doesn’t play harp expects to hear. LOL….good one.

Can she retune for various pieces? Andres has several books with really great little etudes in them and with no lever changes at all, but they are in various keys.

No, I disagree, but of course, this is not a surprise.

Someone else mentioned a Honda Element earlier in this thread. After my Subie Outback died (head gasket for which there should’ve been a recall since it was a common problem I found out), I bought a Honda Element. It’s the best, most versatile harpmobile! I love it, and I love the car in general. It’s a really nice one. Only sad thing is they aren’t building them after 2012. 🙁

I meant Pistache sounds Spanish (with some French harmonies in it). A meltdown — LOL……Those are the composers I was thinking of — and Debussy and Ravel. Yeah Salzedo is just Salzedo. 🙂

Thanks Deb L. I love his pieces. No….actually that one sounds kind of Spanish doesn’t it? I just mean his harmonies and the overall feeling I get from listening to his pieces sound French. You can tell his heritage when you listen to his style if you have listened to/studied lots of French music.

Christos Anesti! (I’m not Greek, but I like that greeting.) Happy Easter!

I played a huge service on organ and piano this morning, ate too many Reese’s eggs and jelly beans, spent time with my 99 and 95 year old inlaws, helped my hubby with the scheduling for juries at the local university where he plays (piano accompanist for the voice students), and spun some yarn singles on my wheel. Now it’s jammies time……..no harp for me today.
