Hi Billoooms: thanks for the input I agree, the gray is a little dark. I’ll try to lighten it up a bit. Look for some forum updates in the next few days.

in reply to: How to find new posts to forum topics? #279060

    Hi all:

Thanks for the input. We are continuing to tweak the forums and we’ll add “new replies” back to the sidebar.

Sorry you’re not a fan of the homepage Carl :-). If you click on the post title, rather than the category, it will take you directly to the post. I’ll try to make this clearer.

    Hi Karen:

Yes, we interviewed Bernard Andres in our March-April 2001 issue. Check out all our back issues here.

in reply to: No links on the phone #222628

    All:

Thanks for letting us know. Unfortunately we’re not seeing a setting on our end that gives us an option to turn on/off links for Android. Can you let us know if this happens on other forums you visit, or is it just at harpcolumn.com?

Thanks for the input Sylvia. If you’re still seeing the “new” link anywhere, please let us know so we can update it. In the meantime, going directly to https://harpcolumn.com/forums/ should solve the problem.

    Hi everyone:

Thanks so much for the input. I see what’s happening now. A few things:

We made some updates over the weekend that allow you to log in to all three Harp Column websites with a single account. Users have been requesting this for a while so we’re pretty happy about it!

I’m not sure where the url https://new.harpcolumn.com/forums/ is coming from. Sylvia, could you tell us where you found that link so we can change it?

To access the forums, simply go to https://harpcolumn.com/forums/. This is the link in our main menu and you should not receive any privacy warnings if you’re using this link.

    Hi Sylvia:

We’d love some more information about this so we can take a better look. Can you provide the exact url you’re going to along with a screen shot? Can you describe what you mean by “blocking”?

    Thanks!

in reply to: Thoughtful posts get deleted again and again #220527

    Hi all:

Yes, we’re here, and we do try to keep an eye on things, but we also depend on users like all of you to let us know when there’s a problem on the forums. Thanks to Wil for reaching out to us via email about some recent forum issues including some unfortunate spam posts. The best way to get in touch with us quickly is by direct email to info@harpcolumn.com.

As I mentioned to Wil, our spam filters sometimes flag what they shouldn’t, and don’t flag what they should. Usually that’s what happens when you see deletions. If there is anything you’d like us to take a better look at, please provide links to those specific threads and we’ll try to see what’s happening.

Thanks to all of you for your interest in the Harp Column forums!

in reply to: Jan/Feb issue HarpColumn—-anyone receive yet? #214248

We had a slight delay at the printer this month, which is why the Jan/Feb issue arrived a bit later than usual. Thank you all for your understanding!

in reply to: Why does this post keep disappearing? #212928

Hi all, it’s the Harp Column team here. We’ve opted not to weigh in on this post thus far, since it contains some useful information about avoiding scams. However, we’d like to offer a gentle reminder of our terms of use and ask that your comments stay on topic and harp related. Since this post has now run its course, we’re going to close it to new comments.

We also want to make users aware that we have anti-spam software in place that blocks posts it deems questionable. This is why posts sometimes disappear. If you feel you were affected in error, you can always email us directly with your concerns, or try rewording your comments using more neutral language.

Thanks for helping us make the Harp Column forums a productive and informative harp resource!

Hi Alison: We disabled this feature a while back and unfortunately it’s not currently available. It was presenting some site issues including spam.

    Hi Tisha:

We have a few options on Harp Column Music. Check out music for two harps here. You can filter for level and also for just lever harp or “mixed” ensemble with one part being lever friendly.

    Hi Beth365:

You might be interested in the article “The Right Rep” from our recent issue. It gives a lot of great suggestions for progressive repertoire for harp in orchestra.
