Think about raising
“Bright Spot” composer Stephanie Curcio asks the performer to “Lift at the ends of phrases to create a jazzy sound.” Work on raising at the ends of phrases to honor the musical suggestions of the composer. Add your own voice by choosing how to raise and noticing how that affects your sound.
