Today’s Tip:
add dynamics
“An Exploration in Line and Color” is full of dynamics on the softer side—from pianissimo to mezzo piano. “Playing a piano [dynamic] sound that projects is much harder than performing a forte [dynamic]. Start with good posture and approach as you are about to play forte, but back off with the correct amount of control to achieve the level of piano you want,” says HCA master teacher Alice Giles.
