maximize your practice time
Are you practicing as smartly as you can? Things like practicing at the right time of day, being aware of your technical weaknesses, and having guided goals can go a long way in learning a piece quicker—and smarter. “People often set goals too high,” says HCA master teacher Isabelle Perrin. “Sometimes having overly high goals gives us excuses for not getting there. We need to find small steps that we can actually reach.”
