Sorry dears but i am talking about School of playing and the school i am following is very strict and clear and no one from the Dulova’s School can accept what you are talking ,maybe in other schools its acceptable to shape hands and fingers differently from the written Methods, i can understand what you say, buti used to deal with fingers like that and also love to keep like that .
hi Patricia again, the shape of the hand and fingers position is very strict in my School, i was taught differently from what you had, for me the fingers position has a big influence on the sound production, so not playing the same way i was learned and teaching it will produce a different sound , in petersburg conservatory in Russia were tow classes when i studied one my teacher and one another and the beautiful sound of the students of my teacher was remarkable by me from the other harp students , and i was able to know a long time graduate harpists if they belong to my school or to other from sound ,and that all come from the hands position.
:(((( thats a sad story for me, i do look for a students for teaching the at the conservatory where i do work of course for free , and dont find, and i accept non musical background students too

Hello freinds, let me tell you that in Russia and in general harpists play the first version of the variations by Glinka, if you search for the score in Russia you will find tow pieces in one publication first the Variations and the second piece is the Nocturne , the variations we have in 2 versions and the 2nd version is more difficult than the first and if you have a chance to get the CD of the great Tatiana Tower or Irina Donskaia they play the 2nd version, but in the tow versions the variations 3 and 4 are the same, and i heard a record of this variations played by Catherine Michel, its different from what they play in Russia,did you heard of the Glinka Siptet (Anna Bolein) for 7 instruments only in Russia play it, the harp part written very beautifully.
Hi Katarzyna , its hard to find books of the Russian method nowadays i recommend you Nikolai Parfionov Method with darwings of fingers positions etc.. its a great big Book and there is M.Rubin method its also good and the famous one is Vera Dulova book with her method , when i studied in Russia i tried hardly to get the book of Madam Dulova but no copy . so you should make a copy for these three books that is the only way. let me say you as i did my research about the differences between the Russian and french School , i found it the same in general ,only the first finger in the Russian school is different from the french.

Carl you should ask wikileaks to scandalize them instead of you :)))) , i know i company that make a very beautiful looking harps and use a cheap accessories made in china, Carl you are exactly right , you dont need any problem,i still remember when the talk goes about harp companies a big quarrel and fight starts , so no need , and let every body discover that by it self.
Zora Sposibo, also i heard today that a freind of mine and a graduate of Irina Donskaia class died a few weeks a go ( Lubov Vasilieva) a young good and beautiful harpist.
