i am interested too to know some history about this concerto, i got only short information that the concert was composed in 1800 and was published in 1803, i dont know if Boieldieu played the harp himself or not and if he composed the concerto especially to be played on the harp or Clavicine or Piano, and to whom was dedicated and who is the first player of it?

Hi Misty , oh i had that situation many many times, now its my fourth year of playing a gig and many times i did tune the harp after finishing my playing and putted the harp in the trunk then the next day found it untuned because the harp located in a cold place the i play in a warm hall, the people was looking to me as if they want to stop it or do it quickly , i felt uncomfortable, but its better to tune and not to play with untuned strings, dont care,we should live with that.

Hi Richard, thank you for your suggestion, you know i am interested to know exactly who did composed La source before Hasselmans or Zabel, because they have the same character in my opinion, and why Zabel piece named Fountain and in another places La Source? do you think that the librarian will have the answer? and will answer me.

players of course dont forget the Legendry russian Harpist, Tatiana Tower, but sad that she died. and Irina Donskaia as a player and Professor in St peters burg , and Asia Varosian was a great prof too but she retired, in Moscow should be many players , and good professors are Shameeva Natalia and Milda Agazarian.
