ParticipantDon’t have a picture, but the Albin Polasek Museum that features a harp water fountain had a harp cake made for a special exhibit. Also, I have a Lyon & Healy harp-shaped cookie cutout that’s big enough for a small cake.

ParticipantGuitar, harp, banjo in that order. Can play lute derivatively, because I played lute and vihuela music on guitar. On trips, sometimes take along a bowed psaltery because it’s so eminently portable.
Double up on some things on harp and guitar but not so much on banjo, that being a cheeky, twangy, inherently disrespectful instrument.

ParticipantI enjoyed a harp concert featuring 18 harps last Sunday. All traditional carols and no “Frosty” or “Rudolph.”

ParticipantI just want some copper-wound bass Cs and Fs. Do they still make them?

ParticipantWhen you only have 33 strings, it’s not as big a deal.

ParticipantNo. I’m sometimes astonished at the type of information brochures or similar materials omit to give.

ParticipantI was really impressed by the 35-string R-Harps Merlin.

ParticipantA ringer for my old Trooby, which was bought used in 1978.

ParticipantHow can you do a decent 3-finger whatchamacallit on classical guitar without fingernails??

ParticipantI bought a lyre-back chair with a shlocky finish when the old San Juan Hotel was auctioning off its contents back in the late ’70s. Cost me $5. Recently my daughter had it repaired and refinished for my birthday. It’s now stained ebony to match my harp, and I use it with a brilliant black-red-purple-&c pillow to give me another inch or so.

ParticipantSee the other place you posted (Coffee Break?).

ParticipantI sorta remember Dusty Strings as being brighter in tone and Tripletts in general as more mellow.
