@ Sid and Patricia – thank you very much indeed for these interesting information. I looked up both harpists – their music is so nice, I definitely want to order a CD! I contacted them both about my quest – thanks again!!!
Anja GParticipantAlison – as I said before – I admire what you can do – jamming, improvising… – it must have been wonderful to be in the Camac factory! And yes – i love DHC`s music too!
Anja GParticipant@ Jessica – hope the cats have fun with your books 😉
@ Elizabeth – Thanks a lot!
@ Alison – to be honest – I treid with the pedals, but I don`t know what to play, I might need a few lessons in blues harping, unfortunately my teacher doesn`t do this – but I keep trying (I admire everyone like you who can “just jam” like this!)Anja GParticipantDear Alison, Jenniger and Jessica – thank you very much for your answers!
@ Jennifer – I already checked the book and am able to buy it here in Germany, thanks again!
@ Jessica – It would be great if you could find aout the book title – great that is has instructions for lever harp!
@ Alison – thanks for giving me the pedal positions. I think though I have to start really at the beginning – I am not able to just jam and don`t really know much about blue scales – concerning blues on the harp I am a total beginner… I looked up the book and can as well order this in germany, what I`ll do, thanks!June 11, 2013 at 8:12 pm in reply to: Arrangements of “The minstrel`s adieu to his native land” ? #61654Anja GParticipantThanks Tacye!

thank you very much, I think I will try this! Did you play it yourself?
Greetings from AnjaAnja GParticipantPatricia,
sorry for not explaining everything very clearly, it`s because English is not my mother tongue… .
My harp has no washers, but the string anchors are in fact little metal pieces – I didn`t know you could also take a used gut string! Thanks for letting me know all this, now I can talk to the maker of the harp again!
And I am also very interested in the book you recommended, I will try to get a copy over here and hope I`ll understand everything!
Thanks a lot
AnjaAnja GParticipantDear Dave,
I can only say a big THANK YOU for taking your time and writing such a detailed and interesting answer. I will keep this for future (and for times when hopefully I will perhaps have my own pedal harp).
Unfortunately the buzz occurs whether the lever is up or down. Mostly the lower strings are producing the buzz, I don`t have the problem with the upper strings. I
Anja GParticipantAdam,
Anja GParticipantTacye,
thanks a lot for your answer. I already tried playing and touching parts of the harp, unfortunately it didn`t help.
But you said a true thing about buying a harp and helped a lot!
Best

thanks, followed your suggestion and posted it in the Harps and Accessories Forum!
All the best (also for selling your property and getting a pedal harp!)
Anja
Anja GParticipantHello Saul,
do you know where to get (or who is the publisher) the transcription for harp from Spring Song? (I play it on the piano, like it so much and can imagine it is a wonderful piece on the harp also.)
Thank you!
