ParticipantRo, Your harps are beautiful! Your new 17 is exquisite, and I love your Minstrel! I’ve never seen a harp like it before.

ParticipantAndy, Your new Prelude is just beautiful! I just love the natural finish and the decal. I’ll bet that your Prelude has a warm to bright sound in the upper registers, mine does. I love my Prelude. I’ll never part with it. I adore your puppies too. I am sure that they are good harp protectors, and they probably follow you closely too. I’ve had my Prelude now for about 6 yrs. now I think. It has developed a lovely voice over the years. Congratulations on your new harp! I hope that you have many joyful years of playing it.

ParticipantHi Kay,
Whoops! Thought they were teenagers that were sitting around at home playing computer games and spending all your money on expensive sneakers…
Well, good luck to your son in the Middle East. I can understand your gray hairs, and hope he is home soon. Brave young man!
Harps, yes, it’d be nice to have them all. I like the Athena and strangely like the straight board one alot. I heard one not so long ago and thought it very sweet. And the Clios are cute too…and acoustic electric is so versatile for gigs.. You could get one with all the curly wurly carving! (actually I quite like them plain….but threw that in for Briggs that has a “thang” for the Oriane)
All the best,
Wurls

ParticipantHi Laura,
How old are the tin lids? (kids!) Next time I send you a piccie I’ll try and get one right for their age! Glad you had a great trip to Virginia. I’ve heard they are nice people at the Virginia harp centre, they like harpists!

ParticipantOr there’s the idea that I have, which is that I really don’t desire a pedal harp at all. I’m sure my perspective is limited, but after spending many years as a classical pianist I am finding great release in the Celtic/folk/traditional styles. Also I love the portability of the lever harp.

ParticipantLike Ted, I also mainly play celtic music, so I play a lever harp which is my first harp, now I’m determined to get a new one because I want a more “celtic” sound, different levers and a lighter harp to carry around but

ParticipantWow Curly, she sure is a Grade-A beauty! Your Salvi looked like a real gem too, and it’s sad she had to go, but it looks like the Harp Gods have smiled upon you at long last. Congratulations!

ParticipantOh boy, does this ever strike a ‘chord.’ *ducks!*
I approached my interest in the harp with the desire to be a Celtic/folk player

ParticipantYes, 15’s are rather fab, especially in natural.

ParticipantSo, which doggy has the mature rich sound, the fatty on the left, or trim taut and terrific on the right??
unknown-user
ParticipantNot dramatic, but bloody admirable…industrious, determined, dedicated, you had a plan you stuck to it, did the work and got what you wanted….
I’m impressed!
Cheers,
Wurls

ParticipantYou’ll get a blondey one day Briggs, you need a smaller pedal harp really, one that is more portable for gigs…One day…..one of those little
