Ahh, isn’t it a pretty pretty pretty preciousness…..I love Preludes that are too cute for words. and that decal it gorgeous, its the style 15 decal and very sweet. Look at the finishing on it, little gold claw feet and a little hat for wearing out on special occassions….to cute for words Andy! Tell us all about how it sounds….I have found the Preludes are usually really nice sounding.

Ooowww, Holly do tell us all when you get it. I have a 100 and they are a beautiful and graceful model and mine has the best sound! (What finish are you getting….mine it Mahogeny)

There is an old thread about style 100’s, feel free to resurrect it and put your 100 on it when it comes, as its nice for people to have a record of those that play a certain model if they are interested. And it’s kind of like a club, isn’t it??!!

    Cheers.

    Hi Kay,

I have so many adult pupils with stories like this….and yes, our home loan has been strained by harps in the last few years! We have totally maxed it out! Not one more dime can be squeezed! But its worth it to have a great harp.

What are you thinking of buying as a pedal harp? Would love to know.

    And my suggestion,

    Hi Brookster,

June kindly talked me through how to load photos from a thingee called photo bucket. If you send the photo to me as an attachment and I will put it on the harp column for you.

    Cheers,

Yep, that is why I’m Curly these days….given my experience. Maybe I shold be Rurly Curly Wurly, so that the R reminds people of me? Any suggestions of a pseudonym that reminds people of who I was is fine with me!

Anyway, Frilly Dilly was Jen, Mimi and Pippin Took were Miso Soup…always had a pseudonym from the first place.

That photo of the Salvi was on a funny angle, it had more hand room than that. But yes, less than a modern L&H. As before that I played a Aoyama, that had virtually no hand room in the upper, I found it wonderful! I also have small hands so that didn’t bother me too much. But I don’t know how I would go these days, as from playing the 100 and the 17 there is so much more room, it might be hard to go backwards!

Ooww, that Troubador is very medieval looking, it must be an oldish one as they are not as curly wurly these days…Gorgeous. The piano is gorgeous too, and the Monet….

Yes, I finally followed your directions and after six failed attempts got it to load from the photo bucket. Technology is so stressful!

Now we have to talk Brook into showing us the Ana!

Yay! The minstrel harp is on! This is my little minstrel harp made out of New Zealand red beech…..

Anyone please do put harp piccies on this thread…ones of unusual, new, or any sort of harp is fine with me.

Thanks to Briggs….she is a great pal of the computer illiterate! We scratched our head for hours trying to do this! And finally gave up and sent it off to Briggsie…

Do post any piccies of any harps that you want to on this thread…

Hmm, I have a truck load of bad habits too, an out of control pinkie finger on my left hand, chocolate and red wine to name a few….also laughing out loud when students hit clangers!

I also have a habit of playing in furry socks in winter, and the ends of them get caught in the pedal slots when you go into flat!

Yes, I did not realise it either – that L&H sold second hand and restored – until a columnite wrote to me and mentioned it in passing. So! I suppose I have the harp column to thank for this 17! They are going to have
