Not quite everything else- the Russian technique seems to be
different- I think ‘Harps and Harpists’ says the Russian school
was founded by Zabel (who was German), which leaves me
wondering what technique the Germans play with?

Or count two beats to a bar as though it were written in 2/2

instead of 4/4 and for the first half of the bar play two notes to the

beat, and for the second half three notes to the beat.

Playing the harp starts out quite easy- like the piano the notes are there, they make a
nice sound and people enjoy listening even to simple stuff- some people are happy to
stay at this level.

‘Gold’ paint will turn green as it contains copper, high quality
gilding will not.

Orchestra no problem, and know professionals who play on 46

The Chopin variations on Rossini for flute and piano are great to
add to a programme- the piano/harp part is really really easy
while the flute has a harder time for once!

Why stick to one everyone else plays?

Look through other postings on the web site about Pakistani
harps- (all the cheap carved rosewood ones) they are low priced
because of the quality.
