MemberAll four models you mention are well known and reliable. If the Aoyama 130 has 3 legs instead of four, know that it tips over more easily. Make a chart with the headings: Size, Tone, Price, String range, and Resale Value. As she tries

MemberI agree with the post above, regarding two live teachers. However, exceptions can be made in certain cases such as as a student who is an elderly beginner (I have a 91-year old), and also a young beginner, when these students of yours can only come once every two weeks. It is helpful to them to watch a DVD of the basic harp technique made by another prominent teacher, at home. There are several of these in the U.S., along with the beginner level harp books. I

MemberJanna, in office supply stores you can find standard forms of many kinds. Look for the one called Rental of Personal Property. It might need a little adjustment here and there but I found it quite workable. You’d need to have each renter sign a form to keep, and a duplicate to give back to you. Yes, ask for a damage deposit , to be returned in full when the harp is returned in the same good condition.

MemberA harp and piano composition by Henriette Renie, Elegie, might easily be adapted for harp and organ. It is in Bb minor.

MemberAlan, if you type in your search engine: Robert Bunker, levers for harps, you will get many choices to go further. The eighth link down the page has his direct contact information. Mr. Bunker designed the Loveland lever. I have no idea whether he will sell to retail customers or only wholesale

MemberLauren, it sounds as though you really miss harp, but will not be free to study harp intensively until you graduate from the course you are in now. In Colorado there are many fine harp teachers and so private lessons with one of these, even every two weeks, would likely be possible, still leaving time for your present homework. Colorado is a big state, so it seems to me that a contact with a harp store in Denver, Kolacny’s

This brings to your computer the 136-page PROGRAM of what happened at the recent World Harp Congress in Vancouver. One can just leave it on your hard drive and enjoy reading it from time to time (I did) or print it out. Though I wish I could have gone, since it was under a four-hour drive from my home, it is very good to read who the performers were and what they played. Elizabeth Volpe Bligh did a fantastic job, chairing this wonderful Congress with all of its details!
