I’d also be a little concerned about having what seems to be pretty limited height adjustment – what if you’d like a height that’s in between the 3 positions?

You seem to be still experimenting with the acoustical physics of the harp, using a simplified model (your jig) to try different soundboard/string combinations, including soundboards of metal, and hybrid metal/wood soundboards.

I’ve been idly thinking about buying one as well – mine would be a cross strung, however, and as far as I can tell, no one sells an electric cross-strung “ready made” – it would have to be a special order.
The other way to go would be to amplify a regular acoustic harp, using a small mike, or a contact pickup.
