ParticipantKay, Maybe I posted just to justify it all haha! 😉
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks Kay for the advice! I looked at that old thread and that does look like a great size! Thank you! I’ll definitely look into that option! Its very beautiful.
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks Kay! Well I know they’re levers, you just move them to the side and they work. I already bought the harp yesterday but the people knew nothing about it. Thank you 🙂
Cassie M
ParticipantThank you all for your input! I’m sorry I took so long to respond. I like the idea of saving up for a bigger pedal harp, although I think I’ll have an extremely hard time parting with my Ravenna 26. I’ll continue to talk to my teacher about it. Thank you!

Participanti guess the pictures didn’t work….let me try this.

Participantenjoy your Ravenna also! Wow thats soon! I won’t be getting mine till probably November, but at least I know its “mine”. They even have my name on it! haha
Cassie M
ParticipantSorry about the grammar errors in the last post I made! I still can’t figure out a way to edit, so oh well. at least you can tell I’m excited! 😀
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks Kay! I wasn’t sure how exactly that one was played. I figured you wouldn’t have got it if you couldn’t play it though! 😉 haha Yea I just put the down payment on my first harp today! Its a Ravenna 26, not as exciting as your beauty, but I’m still VERY excited! I’m excited about it portability though, because I know I’m going to want to show it off! 😉

ParticipantSOOOO PRETTY! What a LOVELY harp(well harps, your swan is gorgeous too)! I know this may sound very dumb, but how is this harp played? It looks too large to practically even get your arms around. WOW its just amazingly beautiful! I LOVE it! Maybe its not as long as I’m imagining? Hmmmm… I really know nothing about harps, I’ve only played two inside a harp store, and only for a few minutes. Sorry if I missed it, but what type of pedal harp is this?
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks Gloria! I’m so glad to hear that! I think I’ll really enjoy the portability aspect. All my friends love to bring their instruments to school to play together and its nice to know I might be able to join in sometime. I’m also over my grandmas a lot and I know it would be fun to play at Christmastime especially! 🙂

ParticipantThanks for the help everyone!
And Tony, do you know what those little things are called that go on the C and F levers? I want to ask for those but I’m not sure how! haha
I’m saw this beautiful pink music stand that I’m excited about getting now! hahaha I figured I didn’t need one, but after hearing I do, I think the pink one is necessary! 😉
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks for the tip Jennifer! I’ll try to get the legs! I’ll be going to the Virginia Harp Center soon, and hopefully they’ll have one so I can pick it up without the shipping! I didn’t know the stability was even a concern! I learn so much from here every day! 🙂
Cassie M
ParticipantI forgot to add, this particular Ravenna has C and F levers. It also comes with the case, which saves me close to $100! Plus the shipping is very fair compared to the $160 shipping I almost paid! I just feel that this is the harp for me. Everything kinda landed in place and I have faith that the job will too.
Cassie M
ParticipantThank you! 🙂 Yea I think I might put on the other levers later, but for now this just seems a lot more reasonable.
And I’m really glad to hear that you never regretted saving all of your “first real money” for your harp! I hope the same happens for me! 🙂
Cassie M
ParticipantThanks Audrey! Yea I have no idea if she played the sicles. Maybe not.
Ok, ok I think you made up my mind for me! I’ll go try and get that Ravenna I found at a decent price! 😀 I have this “connection” with the harpsicle, but maybe I’ll pay the $300 and get it later if I decide I just can’t live without those pretty colored, tiny harp. hahaha! So its the RAVENNA! Thank you so much! I’m gonna call them tomorrow and ask them if I can maybe reserve it with a payment or something, because I won’t be able to buy it for a few months, I would say October or November.
BTW, I’m not sure about the full lever thing that she said. But I’m buying the C&F lever one, and I’m sure my teacher can make do. She was so sweet about everything and if she was willing to let me get the sicle, than I’m sure she’ll be ok with the few levers. Plus for $200 less, it just seems more doable.
THANK YOU again!
