At first glance I wasn’t sure that I knew this hymn. One measure in and it is instantly recognizable! This cheery hymn, written specifically for Easter, is a joy to play.

Barnwell says this Gregorian chant tells the story of the Resurrection in “dramatic fashion.” This evocative setting makes full use of the harp, in range, technique, and harmonic structure, and is extremely effective for church or concert use.
