Felix Mendelssohn is responsible for some of the most memorable music associated with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, perhaps most notably the beloved “Wedding March,” performed during the marriage scene of Duke Theseus and Hippolyta. It seemed only fitting to include a Mendelssohn work on this playlist. This arrangement by Meinir Heulyn showcases his grand melodies and rich harmonic writing.
