Tamsin Dearnley’s arrangement of the traditional tune “Golden Slumbers” (Cradle Song) is for solo lever or pedal harp. The text to this beautiful lullaby was written in 1603 by English playwright Thomas Dekker for use in his play ‘The Pleasant Comodie of Patient Grissill’. It is unclear whether he also wrote the melody or whether it was set to an existing tune, but regardless of authorship it has remained a popular cradle song to the present day. This piece is also available in Dearnley’s collection Easy Lullabies from Around the World.
