Tenes la de Pres

Sunita Staneslow’s arrangement of the traditional French song “Tenes la de Pres” (“Hold Tight to Your Girl”) is for solo lever or pedal harp. This elegant yet sprightly dance tune was arranged with a simple left hand accompaniment. A rigaudon or rigadoon is a French baroque dance that began as a couples folk dance in southern France. The rigaudon later became popular as a court dance during the reign of Louis the XIV. This piece can also be purchased as part of Staneslow’s collection Great French Composers for Folk Harp.
