Waking Early (trio)

Stephen Dunstone’s original composition “Waking Early” for three lever or pedal harps is a great choice for mixed level ensembles. The piece starts with a dreamy, stretchy, “early-morning-in-bed kind of introduction,” says Dunstone, “full of rubato arpeggios and big rolled chords. It then leaps out of bed into a fast and lively second half.” Harp 3 is a simpler part so that less experienced players can join in. The piece is also available as a duo for equally skilled players.
