Angelicanza

Marianne Gubri’s original work Angelicanza is for solo lever or pedal harp. Inspired by Dante’s hierarchies of angelicanza (angels), which dance in ecstatic circles, the piece is built on a series of medieval ascending scales, from the introspective aeolian, to the dorian, to the mixolydian up to the expansive ionian.
