The Dark Island

Lynn McDermott has arranged Ian McClachlan’s “The Dark Island” for solo lever or pedal harp. This gentle waltz was the theme song for The Dark Island, a six-part British television mini-series that premiered in 1962 and was set in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Composed in traditional Scottish style, it remains a favorite among Scottish musicians.
