“Chugoku Chiho no Komoriuta” is a lullaby from the Chugok region. It utilizes the Akebono pentatonic scale in B minor (2-sharps). Lyrics in transliterated Japanese are provided along with chord symbols. “Edo Lullaby” is said to be the root of all Japanese lullabies. It is written in the A minor pentatonic scale and has lyrics in English. No chord symbols are provided. Most Japanese know and have a special affection for the very sad “Itsuki no Komoriuta.” The song uses the D minor pentatonic scale (1-flat), and has lyrics in transliterated Japanese. “Takeda no Komoriuta” uses the Yo scale (1-flat), has lyrics in transliterated Japanese and has chord symbols.
