Danza Soleado (“Sunny Dance”), by Karen Marshalsay, is for solo lever or pedal harp. Inspired by a Paraguayan-style polka, the piece was written “as the autumn sun’s golden light dappled the kitchen walls and danced across the floor,” says the composer. It serves as an introduction to Paraguayan harp techniques and the basic polka rhythm, and is available in both an advanced-beginner and an intermediate version.
