The First Frost, an original piece by Hannah Haynes, is for solo lever or pedal harp. This simple, yet elegant piece can be included in a gig book for harpists at any level. Haynes says this piece was written “to mark the first ground frost of the year, which can come quite early in Scotland!” She suggests it could be played during Advent or at any winter festival or concert. It is a great piece for students wishing to practice 3-finger root position and first inversion shapes in the left hand.

This piece is a PDF download for $4.00.
