Elementary Note Reading

Haley Hodson’s Elementary Note Reading book is a collection of 57 exercises for young lever or pedal harp beginners. These exercises provide slow progress on note reading at the harp and “focus on treble and bass clef notes in two octaves with only quarter notes and half notes,” says Hodson. Note reading is reiterated while also learning different fingering placements such as 2-1, 3-2-1 and 4 -3- 2- 1.
