Notes from the Composer
Elizabeth Volpé Bligh wrote this piece to describe a hot sunny day kayaking in Deep Cove. You have just left your stress behind and are enjoying listening to the water drip off the double-ended paddle, the sound of subtle huffing and puffing if you’re out of shape, and feeling the waves gently rock the kayak. Other boats pass by creating new waves, sunbeams glance off the water, seals splash. All around is the magnificent view of cliffs and houses tucked into the forest.
