Away in a Manger (Pedal)

Corkey Christman’s arrangement of William J. Kirkpatrick’s “Away in a Manger” is for solo pedal harp. (Click here to see the arranger’s simpler, lever harp arrangement of the song.) This four-verse arrangement of the classic carol begins with two simple pastoral verses, and then moves into two verses with the melody in the left hand and the right hand providing an accompaniment that brings to mind “the stars in the sky”. The are also two interludes using an original melody that perfectly complements the beloved tune.
