Away In a Manger (Lever)

Corkey Christman’s arrangement of William J. Kirkpatrick’s “Away In a Manger” is for solo lever or pedal harp. (Click here to see the arranger’s longer, pedal-only version of this song.) This four-verse arrangement of the classic carol begins with two simple pastoral verses and then moves into two verses with the melody in the left hand while the right hand provides an accompaniment that brings to mind “the stars in the sky.” This and two other of Corkey Christman’s holiday arrangements for lever harp may be found in Glad Tidings, Volume 2 (Lever Harp).
