Barbara Ann Fackler has arranged the Sephardic love song “La Rosa Enflorece (The Rose Blossom)” for solo lever or pedal harp. One of the best known of the Sephardic songs, the melody is a blend of Jewish and Arab influence as Jewish and Arab musicians performed together in Castillian courts. The arrangement is offered in two key signatures (three flats and all naturals). Fackler says, “Its simple, haunting melody suits harp well.”
