Ancient Dances includes two anonymous 16th century dances transcribed for solo pedal harp by Barbara Ann Fackler. Originally for lute, both the “Italiana” and “Siciliana” were used by Ottorino Resphigi in his Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 3. Pedal markings and some fingerings are included. “Once learned, each stays in the hands well, ready for preludes, recitals and background music,” says Fackler. “Accessible to any ear, these are great for repertoire building and maintaining skill sets.”
