What timing, I found this one last week and it is very cool. If you click on the page of music there you can also see a video of the arranger playing this.
I have the Bardic 27 as an additional travel harp and I LOVE it. I tried both and like having 27 strings instead of 22, but I think the 22 would be perfect for what you want to use it for. They are both super lightweight and you can get great little soft bags for them to use when you travel.
Triplett has a small harp called the Zephyr, which is could fit what you are looking for. I have not played this exact harp, I have played larger triplets and really liked them
I have a pedal harp as well as a 38 string large lever harp (Excalibur), and the issue is the same when I have it comfortably placed on my shoulder I am always too far from the harp to rest it partially on my knees. I do play comfortably and reach the pedals fine, so it is not a big issue. I was just thinking that I would not be the only harpist with this issue.
I have a copy of that music, it matches the sheet music he holds in his hands in the movie. It does not include all of the glissandos and is just the basic piece. After a search on eBay I found the same music for sale there as well, worth a peek if you are looking for it.

Yes, I have tried various heights and bench distances and settled on a height and distance that is comfortable. The bend is higher than I initially tried, so my legs are angled down a little bit but overall it feels better. It just looks to be farther away than other harpists I see play, but I suppose if I am comfortable and can use the pedals easily that it is not really an issue. Just curious if any other people with either a large chest or a long torso/short leg combo might have additional advice.
A very timely topic for me right now, this weekend I purchased my first pedal harp and am trying to decide on a name for her 🙂
My other 2 lever harps are named after Battlestar Galactica characters, one is ‘Boomer’ and the smaller one is ‘Boxy’, there is a character named Athena in the TV series but since that is also the model of my harp I am not sure I want to name her that!
How fun, ok currently on my music stand – Toccata (Sabre Danse) by Susann McDonald, Two Guitars by Linda Wood, Pavane by Faure.
Also a several shorter pieces for an upcoming Harp Ensemble concert at the Scottish Highland Games – Baloo Baleerie, Barbara Allan, Blythe Blythe and Merry Was She, Highland Mary – All Arranged by Kim Robertson, and Harry In Winter from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire arr by Dan Coates and lastly Walk In Belfast by Janet Harbison.
So glad this all worked out!!!! Congratulations on your new harp, and don’t feel bad for reaching out to the folks here in this forum, that is what it is for! Seeking advice, learning and problem solving!

Just thought I’d weigh in on this chat and introduce myself. I am an Irish Harp teacher here in Dublin. Muzikkon brought me on a year ago to help fine tune their harps and work with them on their development. Like everyone here I was weary of cheap harps but my students were buying them anyway so I thought rather than fighting against it I should work with a company to make these pieces of furniture into functional instruments. Its been a fun journey and the harps are now a playable affordable option. I would never discourage a person from buying a hand made harp or a more professional harp (Like Camac) but sometimes at the beginning this isn’t an option and I have worked hard to make these harps the best they can be at their price point.Each harp is tested before it goes out to a customer, this was the missing step with so many companies, the quality wasn’t being assured.

As a total newbie I had no idea what I was in for and I think I maybe took 2 breaths during the first 5 minutes he played, I was captivated.
I am thinking you may need to contact someone directly. When I posted in this forum, I received answers only from other members.
It does look like they do answer, but just not always very quickly 🙂
