you don’t have to belong to ASTA to have Merz-Huber but you will pay a slightly higher rate

nobody’s criticizing carl but when you write that you only studied with someone to get a degree it’s not hard to imagine that the person could feel that and not want to work well with you

why not ask your teacher if you can continue work on this piece but also learn a new piece that maybe isn’t as long or a piece in movements so that you are learning new stuff and making obvious progress but still have practice time and focus to maintain and polish Nataliana.

if you look at it from his point of view,

it must be difficult to teach someone that basically says they don’t want your help

and most people can see through students that just want something… a degree or a network connection

some harpists like those carts but they can be heavy if you’re not a huge guy what i mean is soem people who aren’t small find them to be lightweight but smaller or not as strong people tend to find them unbearably heavy especially to lift in to a car when loading the harp and cart etc. for gigs

and the tires go flat at times or come off the cart

when the tires are working well they certainly are the best thing for going upstairs that’s for sure but it’s a big pain when one of the tires pops off while you’re moving the harp or goes flat

being used to the mckay dolly (don’t know if that’s the right spelling) i found the 6-wheeled one hard to maneuver because the wheels were so small but i was intrigued with the idea of being able to go up stairs better so i wish i’d seen someone move a harp with it that was used to it

might be lame but i’d like to see a clip of that on youtube so i can see how it’s supposed to work

whether the woman intentionally advertised or just felt she was sharing an opportunity is not really an issue

no matter what there is a question of ethics involved

and it might be good to stay clear of someone with ethics so questionable that they either thought they could get away with that or that they didn’t recognize it was inappropriate.

Carl’s last post is what I would do even though I hate conflict and confrontation.

Just go happily and play once or twice without any intention of anything other than doing just that because it will show your level and the quality of what you have to offer.

Then you can also realize that birds of a feather flock together and any potential students who turn to her ring instead of you might not truly be students you would want to have anyway since it seems like they’re not willing to make the investment mentally or financially or the committment or something

not important that the harp part has the piano part also on every page

rather than only the harp part

    use http://www.harp.com search

    enter Handel Lawrence

what shows up is the piano reduction but that’s what you need

it’s the harp part and also the piano reduction

convenient for the pianist to have that and it’s not important for you because of course you will memorize it anyway

btw the section on hands at different levels on the strings is not so much about pdlt as it is about playing slightly lower than middle
