Sorry that’s so big, my first attempt with a digital camera…should’ve resized it!

    Hi, Margaret:

I think very, very few of us actually go through our harp journey on only one harp.

Congratulations, Ro! I’ve been sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to hear that you’re back with your new harp and all about it! I’m so glad you like it!

Rod, that piece is in a collection called “Danses Pour la Dauphine”, which Vanderbilt does carry (others may, too). I don’t think you can get it separately.

Kay, are you referring to Dickie Fleischer?

Personally, I prefer the type of gig where I’m doing background music as opposed to where everyone is dead silent, staring at me and listening…I don’t get nervous doing background music, and can improvise more, do more repeats in pieces I like, play around with switching octaves, etc., and I worry less about people noticing wrong notes…I guess that’s why I don’t get nervous that way.

Kidding aside, Kay is right, Becky, your husband may find the harp so soothing he’ll be encouraging you to play both during his work time as well as after to help him relax.

It was years ago now, my former teacher had the Empire, so I got to play it each week at my lessons.

I’ve played one of Carl’s La Scuolas and one of his Semi-gilded Empires.

Hey, Ro, wasn’t it you that had a harp duct-taped to the floor once? That would certainly solve the problem…

I have to admit I’m not a morning person…it takes awhile for my brain to get going, so I was thoroughly confused reading through several posts until I finally got here and figured out what was going on with Briggsie and Charlotte Perriwinkle!

So, Saul, would you say a Byrd on the harp is worth two on the Bosendorfer?
