Pilgrim Harps launches video campaign for cancer research

December 20, 2016

Pilgrim Harps is inviting harpists to share videos and donate to cancer research.

Peter Ian Cunningham, a founder and director at Pilgrim Harps, died in November, 2016.

Want to show your harp stuff and help a good cause at the same time? South-east England based Pilgrim Harps is sponsoring a video campaign to raise money for cancer research in memory of their founder and director Peter Ian Cunningham, who passed away in Nov., 2016. Pilgrim’s resident harpist Fran Barsby (above) came up with the idea to ask harpists to post videos of themselves playing their favorite Christmas song and then donate to cancer research.

“It is devastating that most people have someone in their lives right now sufferings from this horrible disease,” says Barsby. “It does not discriminate, it does not go easy on anyone, it destroys lives. We are proud to be supporting and fighting in memory of our friend and colleague, who was one of the most glorious human beings on this planet.”

How to get involved:

  1. Upload your Christmas harp video (phone videos are fine).
  2. Add Pilgrim Harps Cancer Research Christmas Charity Videos to the title and post the video to the Pilgrim’s Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages.
  3. Donate via the link below.
