Harp Center Los Angeles (HCLA), owned by California harpist Xochitl Derycz, celebrated its grand opening on Oct. 19. “Harp Center Los Angeles began as a response to the many challenges harpists face just to meet their basic needs—whether it’s finding quality strings, arranging maintenance, or accessing concert grand pedal harps for rent,” Derycz says, adding that she hopes to make the harp more accessible to everyone.
The showroom features a stage for concerts and events and has partnered with Honesto Café to serve specialty coffee from Colombia. “Though HCLA is still in its early phases, we are building a community hub where harpists can feel at home, connect, perform, and access everything they need in one place,” Derycz says.
