The 4th International Harp Competition Elena Carfi has announced required repertoire for its online contest in 2027. The competition includes four categories for harpists of all nationalities who are 18 years of age or younger as of Dec. 31, 2027. Contestants must register by Oct. 1, 2027, and must submit video recordings during the video submission period, Oct. 11–29. Results for the competition will be announced in November 2027.
The biennial contest was created in 2021 to honor Carfi’s memory as an influential Argentine harp teacher in the second half of the 20th century. With the aim of promoting Latin American musical heritage, each category’s required repertoire includes one work by an Argentine or Latin American composer (original or transcribed).
