10th Martine Géliot competition announces new dates

The Martine Géliot International Harp Competition has announced new dates for its 10th edition, which will now take place April 4–7, 2027, near Paris in Fontainebleau-Avon, France. The triennial competition was originally scheduled for Oct. 29–Nov. 1, 2026.

The 10th edition is open to harpists of all nationalities ages 22 years and younger by April 4, 2027. For harpists registered for the 22nd International Harp Contest in Israel, applicants ages 26 and under may enter the 10th Martine Géliot Competition. Applications are due March 4. Required repertoire is listed below.

Semifinal

  • Mel Bonis, Près du Ruisseau, Op. 9 (arr. Elisabeth Remy Johnson in her collection Trois pièces impressionnistes)
  • Elias Parish-Alvars, “La Mandoline,” Grande fantaisie pour harpe, ed. Martine Géliot
  • Marcel Tournier, Jazz-Band, Op. 33

Final

  • Jacques de la Presle, Le jardin mouillé
  • Henriette Renié, Danse des lutins
  • Free choice piece (max. duration 5 minutes)
  • Claude Ballif, Solfeggietto No. 9 (with cut given in the competition rules)
