Strauss’ upbeat dance melody is great deal of fun to play and hear. I think this arrangement by Angela Madjarova would be entertaining for cocktail hours or a recital finale piece.

The Swan

This harp classic has been reimagined for harp and flute by Angela Klöhn and it’s absolutely beautiful! Klöhn includes arrangements in two different keys: D-flat major (the original key) and C major (easier for the solo instrument).

Do yourself a favor and add this piece to your gig book right now. Paulette Marie Miller has masterfully arranged this popular American folk song. It’s gorgeous and so fulfilling to play!

I hadn’t heard either of these hymns before coming upon this medley by Barbara Chapman and Debra Cross. It includes two Swedish folk hymns: “Thy Holy Wings” and “Children of the Heavenly Father.” It is quite gentle in nature and very soothing to listen to. This would be wonderful for a number of occasions.
