Serena O’Meara’s arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Arioso” is for pedal harp and any of the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet in B-flat, alto saxophone, violin, viola, or cello. This piece is from Bach’s fourth and last cantata, Cantata 156, which was first performed on January 23, 1729. The famous melody was used in several other of Bach’s instrumental compositions, as well.
