Harpist Dr. Alison Attar has enjoyed a rich and diverse artistic career, performing with groups such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Symphony, MusicNOW (Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Fulcrum Point, Boston Baroque, Boston’s Handel & Haydn Society, and San Francisco’s Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, among others. She has also played The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy, NieR and Classic Quadrophenia. Attar is embraced by her colleagues as a vibrant, intelligent performer and educator. She holds a B.M., M.M., and D.M. in harp performance and a B.A. in Italian culture, all from Northwestern University. Dr. Attar can be heard on over 20 recordings ranging from pop and jazz to Baroque opera and contemporary chamber music.
