Will Maerz’s arrangement of Erik Satie’s Je te veux is for harp quartet with an optional part for electric harp and/or bass (Harps 2 and 4 are playable on lever harp; Harps 1 and 3 are for pedal harp only). “The song and waltz ‘Je te veux’ was written in the aftermath of Satie’s disappointing romance with painter Suzanne Valadon,” says Maerz. “With its catchy and solemn melody and straightforward harmonics, the work was perfectly suited for harp ensemble arrangement.”
