Jasmin Song (four harps, simplified version)

$6.00$25.00

Willi Maerz has arranged the popular Chinese folk song “Jasmin Song” for harp quartet (Harps 1 and 3 are for pedal harp only while Harps 2 and 4 may be played on lever or pedal) plus an optional line for bass or electric harp. “It is no overstatement to call the ‘Jasmin Flower Song’ the unofficial national anthem of China,” says Maerz. “Its origins date back to the 18th century, and it has continuously enjoyed great popularity ever since, becoming known in the West when Giacomo Puccini incorporated it in his last opera Turandot.” This version is a simplified arrangement intended for youth ensembles.
