Willi Maerz has arranged the famous Jewish folk song “Hava Nagila” for four pedal harps and choir (SATB). Musicologist Abraham Zevi Idelsohn is believed to have added the lyrics in 1918, further growing the popularity of the song worldwide. The upbeat chorus singing “Let’s rejoice and be happy” has become “an anthem of joy and optimism,” says Maerz.
